Tim Webb is a beer writer who has been writing about beer for a consumer audience for more than 30 years. He is the co-author of The World Atlas of Beer (2012 to date) and Good Beer Guide Belgium (1991-2018), and the lead author and curator of the website The Beer Styles of Europe and Beyond (https://beer-styles.ebcu.org/), the first guide to the world’s major beer styles compiled from the European perspective, and with the consumer in mind. By background he is a doctor of medicine, who was a senior practitioner in the UK’s National Health Service and has been published in the field of adult psychiatry. His primary interest is the role that beer styling plays in defining the divisions between craft and large-scale brewing, and balancing out the craze for novelty.
