Bernardo Pontes Guimaraes is a graduate research assistant with a background in Chemistry. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the University of Brasilia, focusing on the study of Brazilian hops. Currently, he’s a first-year PhD student in Food Science at the University of Arkansas, under the guidance of Dr. Scott Lafontaine. His current research explores the use of rice in brewing, with a particular emphasis on flavor and aromas.
