As a writer, speaker and teacher of beer culture, flavor and hops for 20 years now, Sylvia Kopp is an approved advocate for authenthic, genuine innovation. She believes that approaches based on a connection to the core values, desires and intentions of the people who drive a brand will lead an industry to prosper. When skillfully combined with the economic imperative, true creativity as such will always be an engine of expansion – as opposed to fear-driven responses to economic demands which only lead to stagnation.
Sylvia works as trainer at the BarthHaas Hops Academy since 2019. She was the founder and director of Berlin Beer Academy and worked for several years as ambassador of American craft beer for the Brewers Association all over Europe. She has continuously been publishing books and magazine articles throughout her career and recently co-founded Women4Beverages at BrauBeviale in Nuremberg, a network for women in the industry.
