Founded in 1962 IFBM the French Institute of Brewing & Malting is a prominent independent research & training center operating at European and international levels. IFBM carries out consulting, audits, technical studies and research programs for food industry companies, especially in the barley to beer chain. It also exercises expertise in the quality control of raw materials (malting barley and milling wheat especially) and phytopharmaceutical products. In addition to R&D and analytical labs, our facilities include a unique pilot plant with malting and brewing equipments from laboratory to industriel. It allows the production of malting and brewing batches a different scale from 0.1 to 650 kg or from 20 liters to 20 hl. These facilities are also used for training. IFBM offers training courses in both French and English, focusing on the entire barley-to-beer chain. Its subsidiary, QUALTECH, specializes in analytical services, providing quality assessments based on extensive knowledge of the barley-to-beer chain and beverages. We are operates across 7 sites and offers a diverse range of analyses and skills to ensure the control and compliance of raw materials and final food products
